    Position:

    Purpose, mastery and autonomy! We provide all three at ISS to develop state of the art voting and analytical platforms, to help shareholder make key corporate decisions around the world. We're looking for an experienced Oracle Software Engineer to join our development team to design, develop and release optimal solutions to meet business needs for new services and enhancements.

    Responsibilities

    • Play an active role in a global agile team working on complex applications with large databases and complex batch processing of very large number of transactions.
    • Responsible for all phases of software development process from requirements analysis, effort estimation, technical design, implementation, testing, defect management and support.
    • Work with web application team members to design optimal database solutions that allow the users to process large number of transactions in seconds.
    • Study current systems and help redesign and refactor them to improve performance, stability and scale.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
    • 5+ years of Hands-on Oracle development experience, including database design, development and testing. We will also accept candidates with master’s degree with 4+ years’ experience.
    • Excellent core Oracle skills.
    • Excellent RDBMS skills including schema design, performance management, partitioning, transaction processing etc.
    • Experience working with PL/SQL to build efficient Oracle interfaces for large web applications.
    • Expertise in designing and developing batch systems that process Millions of transactions on large data sets.
    • Excellent Performance tuning experience: understanding plans, using Oracle Enterprise Management.
    • Ability to work well in an agile team environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
