  • Overview

    ISS is seeking a Global Meeting Services Analyst to conduct corporate governance data research using issuer filings, company news, press releases, news publications, and research studies and through engagement with issuers and institutions. The Analyst will also collect, translate and interpret proxy meeting documents, financial, industry and corporate governance information related to shareholder meetings, collect meeting result information, translate proxy materials into English and apply internal codes based on ISS' definitions and policy guidelines. Mandatory verbal and written fluency in Hebrew and English. Proficiency or working knowledge in other languages (Arabic or Spanish) is considered a plus, kindly make mention when applying.

    Responsibilities

    The Global Meeting Services (GMS) Analyst position is accountable for:

    • Identifying, understanding and implementing daily monitoring of market regulatory sources for meeting information
    • Procuring relevant meeting documentation (e.g. Annual Report, Notice of the Meeting, Information Circular, Proxy Form and other Corporate Governance documents) by monitoring stock exchange websites and contacting companies or issuers by email or phone for engagements to make sure that the most appropriate information is at hand
    • Procure meeting materials using various publicly disclosed sources, Translate and timely creation of meeting information in the ISS’ proprietary database by associating relevant securities and meeting documents.
    • Analyze agenda items and harmonize them into the ISS standard code list.
    • Collection and accurate entry of vote results for every meeting covered when disclosed as per defined market regulations.
    • Review and respond to internal enquiries related to meeting coverage for the market in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for distribution, monitoring and update of various workloads.
    • Responsible for keeping up-to-date assigned market profiles, process manuals at regular intervals.
    • Updating the team and relevant ISS manuals on any changes in the corporate governance landscape of the market(s) assigned.
    • Participate in various working committees and/or projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or any equivalent/related course
    • Verbal and written fluency in Hebrew and English at minimum but preference given to those with additional languages (Arabic or Spanish). 
    • Strong communication skills with knowledge and experience in MS Office
    • Ability to work within a team-oriented environment
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines
    • Strong skills in problem solving
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

     

    HELPFUL STRENGTHS

    • Familiarity with regulatory documents and understanding of corporate governance issues, corporate transactions and capital markets
    • Knowledge of SQL to assist with creation of reporting and metric queries
    • Proficiency in other foreign languages
