    We are seeking outstanding Computer Science/Information Technology engineers to join our Application development team based in our Rockville, Maryland office. As a member of our team, this resource will be responsible for either of the following as per the group requirements.


    ISS will provide flexibility to work around class schedule (20 - 40 hrs/ week).


    Application Development of ISS’s corporate governance suite of product applications used by majority of leading global institutional investors. It will include but not limited to new applications/features/enhancements to existing applications/Bug fixes/technology upgrades/new technology experiments.  Interns will excel in their ability to work closely and collaboratively with our global technology teams as Business, Application Development, Application Testing and Application management teams are distributed across global offices of ISS.  Technologies include any of the following but not limited to: Java/J2EE, PHP, RDBMS (Oracle or MS SQL Server), Front end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular JS) Spring framework, Hibernate, R/Python, Web services. The selected candidates will work with any of the above mentioned teams and it will involve on- the-job learning.   Technical guidance/training will be provided as required in house or externally as appropriate.


    • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar disciplines.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent  documentation (MS Word) and (MS Excel) skills.
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to multi-task.
    • Willingness to work as part of global technology team.
    • Strong desire to learn and work on different Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) stages and technologies.
    • Ability to learn quickly and to take responsibility for a variety of tasks.
