  • Overview

    We are looking for a software engineer who can take our infrastructure to the next level. We are building a next-generation platform that will enable teams across the organization to reliably run a variety of applications and services. This position must take charge of building systems, networking, monitoring, and other infrastructure tools for the new platform. The SE will continuously improve reliability, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for our infrastructure.

     

    The Technical Innovation team at ISS is tasked with building a brand-new data and services platform using cutting-edge technology for a growing FinTech company. Some of our wide-ranging projects have included writing Mesos frameworks, edge load balancers, service discovery systems, Ethereum blockchain distributed applications, container-based monitoring solutions, and other infrastructure / data components. We also use and contribute back to several open-source projects. You will be part of a group of curious engineers that thrives on continuously learning about new advancements in technology as well as evaluating potential ways to disrupt our industry.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for overall end-to-end solution and delivery of the assigned projects.
    • Focus on the delivery of highly available and scalable services platform.
    • Participate in design, coding, code review, testing, deployment and production support.
    • Integrate services platform with existing databases, data collectors, and message gateways.
    • Collaborate across geographically diverse business and engineering teams.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to service reliability and availability.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields.
    • Significant experience in software and infrastructure engineering.
    • Experience with Container-Native technologies, including Mesos, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
    • Hands-on experience with CI/CD related tools like Jenkins, Git, Gitlab, Concourse, etc.
    • Ability to work effectively with global, remote project teams across different time zones.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with InfluxDB, Grafana, and Telegraf is a plus.
    • Experience with Golang and Rust is a plus.
    • Python language skills.
    • Startup experience is a plus.
